The Parker County Responding to Every Assault and Crisis Team (REACT) is excited to announce our 2018 Charity Golf Tournament scheduled for September 14, 2018 at Sugar Tree Golf Club in Lipan, Texas.


We are asking for your help and support in making this a successful event.  We are looking for event sponsors, prize donations, and teams to participate in the event.

October 27, 2017- Join Us for our REACT Benefit Golf Tournament

The Parker County Responding to Every Assault and Crisis Team (REACT) will host a Benefit Golf Tournament on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Sugar Tree Golf Club in Lipan, Texas. Proceeds from the event will be utilized to support local law enforcement, assist with victim needs, and to provide volunteer training academies, educational materials, etc.


We are asking for your help and support in making this a successful event. We are looking for event sponsors, prize donations, and teams to participate in the event.


REACT is a 501(c)3 organization. REACT is coordinated by Weatherford Police Department and Freedom House. This volunteer group is a victim centered organization developed to assist those who have been affected by trauma or violent crime. Volunteers undergo extensive training so that they can respond at the request of any Parker County law enforcement agency to assist with the needs of victims who have suffered a traumatic situation. Volunteers have responded to emergencies such as domestic violence situations, sexual assaults, house fires, serious accidents, and death scenes. REACT volunteers may also provide emergency transportation to women’s shelters, assist law enforcement in delivering death notifications, provide special help to child victims, serve as liaisons between victims and law enforcement agencies or social service agencies, and accompany victims to hospitals.

March 13, 2016 Parker County REACT Recognized for Community Service

The Parker County Responding to Every Assault and Crisis Team (REACT) was presented with the Community Service Award at the 56th Annual American Way Awards held this past Sunday at Nolan Catholic High School, Fort Worth. 


The American Way Awards are presented by the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree General Worth Assembly #1089 and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Louise #209 each year.  The American Way Awards came about in 1960 as a promotion of patriotism which is the principle of the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus.  The Community Service Award was instituted and presented for the first time in 1984 to recognize an organization that preformed outstanding service to humanity.


REACT President, Kim Chilcutt was honored to accept the award on behalf of the Parker County Responding to Every Assault and Crisis Team.   Mrs. Chilcutt said “REACT volunteers work with law enforcement to assist and comfort those who have suffered a traumatic event.  REACT is simply helping with heart.”  Mrs. Chilcutt added, “We would like to thank the Knights of Columbus of Weatherford for nominating REACT for this award and for their continued support of this volunteer organization and the work that we do.  We are truly honored to receive the Community Service Award this year.”
